Melting pot for Sealing wax

A handy tool for melting sealing wax

Chip off a 1 cm piece of sealing wax on a spoon, light up a candle under the melting pot and set the spoon on the pot. Let the wax melt but do not let it boil. Pour the molten wax on your desired surface. If you wish to detach the seal for later usage, you may pour the wax on a piece of baking paper or a silicone mat designed for crafts. You may also pour the seal right onto a letter.

The stamp is pressed onto the molten wax. After a little while, the stamp can be removed carefully. If you wish to add decoration, e.g glitter, you can add it to the hot wax before using the stamp. If you are making multiple seals at once, you may want to cool the brass end of the stamp in between. This will speed up the cooling of the seals.

Don't leave a lit candle unsupervised or an empty spoon atop of the candle. Don't forget to put out the candle after usage. If the spoon is still warm, you can clean the wax easily using e.g kitchen paper.
